Home Tour: Mandy Moore's Mid-Century Pasadena Abode
Who doesn’t love Mandy Moore? We’ve been fans of hers ever since she starred alongside Shane West in A Walk to Remember – one of our favorite movies that still makes us cry to this day. Over 15 years later, she’s starring in This Is Us – one of our favorite TV dramas, has renovated and moved into a gorgeous mid-century home in Pasadena, and married Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith in a backyard ceremony at their dreamy abode.
The couple’s Pasadena home, designed with architect Emily Farnham and interior designer Sarah Sherman Samuel, was featured on Architectural Digest & we love everything about it – especially the picturesque views of the San Gabriel mountains and valley. Since it was built in the 1950s by Harold B. Zook, they kept some vintage nods while modernizing the space with sleek furnishings, new flooring, and awesome lighting. Now we just need an invitation to hang out with Mandy & Emily Schuman (one of her best friends and the blogger behind Cupcakes & Cashmere) at the house – we’ll bring the wine & snacks!

We love these leather armchairs by Anthropologie that go perfectly with the Croft House sofa and chic & funky table by Sarah Sherman Samuel in the family room.
The front room has a gorgeous view of the yard with bold velvet armchairs by Mercer41, a natural bench by Kenian, and statement rose gold cocktail tables by Statements by J. We also love the accents featuring a vase by Harbinger, a Langley Street arc floor lamp, and Moroccan-style Bungalow Rose rug.
Another view of the front room shows the unique fireplace with its original copper hood that the design team restored to it’s glory.
Mandy Moore & her now husband Taylor Goldsmith’s master bedroom is a dream! We love her custom-built bed by Sarah Sherman Samuel in a Fabricut velvet with macramé artwork by Sally England above. The cozy bench by Katy Skelton & Cedar & Moss lighting just add to the beauty of the sanctuary.
This bathroom has the flooring of our dreams! Love the custom brass inlay set in terrazzo & the volakas marble-topped vanity.
Imagine coming home after a long day & soaking in this Aquatica freestanding tub overlooking the mountains – so picturesque & relaxing.
We’ll happily sit on those Jasper Morrison counter stools from Design Within Reach at the Calacatta-marble island while Mandy & Taylor whip up some appetizers for a dinner party! Also love the pendants by Cedar & Moss, the Mark Churchill ceramics & Wolf gas range.
Views for days! We love this bright white tulip table paired with natural wood dining chairs, a brass suspension light by Lambert & Fils, and Harbinger vases.
Mandy & Taylor’s pool area was redesigned by Terremoto and is situated next to a covered outdoor dining area made for entertaining!
