A California-Cool Light & Bright Home in Sausalito

Growing up on the West Coast and living in California since after college, we absolutely love light & bright interiors… So when we stumbled upon this home tour on The Everygirl, we instantly fell in love. The 550 sq. ft. abode in the Marin County city of Sausalito belongs to Chrissy, blogger behind one of our favorites Harlowe James, and she has done such an incredible job of making her rental feel like a truly lived-in home. It’s relaxed & airy – definitely epitomizing that California-cool look we love.

Her living spaces feature a nice mix of high & low pieces as well as new, modern items – plus antique, one-of-a-kind elements. You’ll find pieces from Target, West Elm, and Ikea, but also products that she found at local stores in her area & vintage accessories from Etsy. We are obsessed with the various textures (like the layered rugs in the living room!), mixed patterns (we want every pillow!), and various wood tones in the space that are offset with light & bright linens. It’s super cozy, comfortable & a great example of how it really is possible to have a gorgeous home while living in a rental!

Take a peek at some photos of Chrissy of Harlowe James’ gorgeous abode below (originally featured on The Everygirl) – we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do! Photos by Torrey Fox
